What is the Freeze Spray (1672-10s)?
The Freeze Spray is a 100% nonflammable diagnostic freeze spray mostly commonly used for industrial applications.
Fast cool action to troubleshoot faulty electronics
It is used as a troubleshooting aid for intermittently faulting capacitors, resistors, semiconductors, and other defective components. The rapidly evaporating liquid super-chills isolated areas and increases visibility of cold solder joints, cracks in printed circuit boards and oxidized junctions.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
- Nonflammable
- Non-ozone depleting
- Moisture free
- Zero residue
- Safe on plastics
- VOC exempt
- Chills down to -60°F (-51°C)
Size options:
- 1672-10s - 10 oz (284g)
- 1672-15s - 15 oz (425g)

Common Applications:
- For failure isolation and to energize the suspect PC board.
How should you use the Freeze Spray?
Spray on board to determine the area where the failure is occurring. Attach the extension tube and spray on individual components until the failed component has been isolated.
More about Freeze Spray (1672-10s) Refrigerant
Techspray's Freeze Spray (1672-10s) contains nonflammable refrigerant that are safe to use on powered electronics and electrical devices
HFC-134a (1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane, CAS #811-97-2) is the most common refrigerant because it is nonflammable, readily available, and reasonably priced.
However, there are environmental concerns with HFC-134a because it has a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 1400, which means it has 1400 times the impact of CO2. On the plus side, it is not considered a VOC (Volatile Organic Compound), so does not contribute to smog.
